Raised Voice Publishing was created by Karen Pickell to amplify the work of writers who are underrepresented in the mainstream literary ecosystem.

From 2018-2020, four notable creative nonfiction books were published under the imprint Raised Voice Press. Six Legs Walking by Elizabeth Bernays won the 2020 New Mexico-Arizona Book Award for Autobiography/Memoir. High Cotton by Kristie Robin Johnson was a finalist for the 2021 Georgia Author of Year Award in Memoir.

All of the titles published by Raised Voice Press, with the exception of An Adoptee Lexicon, are now out of print. Copies of Six Legs Walking and An Adoptee Lexicon are available for sale via the links below. High Cotton and Malnourished are sold out.

Raised Voice Publishing is currently on hiatus.
